October 2008

Gypsy arrived here with us on Sunday 5th October, just two days short of being 8 weeks old.

Her "Mum", Linda, spent a couple of hours with us whilst we got aquainted with Gypsy. After a bit of exploring she decided that enough was enough and a rest was in order..

Tired!!!!

Four days on and Gypsy is settling in well, the only small glitch is getting her to eat "kitten food".

Stalking    I killed it!!

21 October...

I am pleased to announce that the "food" glitch has been overcome and Gypsy now happily munches on kitten food although the jelly variety have to have a little of the gravy variety added !!!

28 October...

Gypsy had a trip to the vets to have her first vaccination and health check. All was well and her second vaccination is scheduled for 3 weeks time.

December 2008

22 December...

Gypsy is being allowed outside, under supervision, due to the "toms" around here and enjoys climbing trees!!

Tree climbing 1    Tree climbing 2.    Tree Climbing 3.

Tree climbing 4.    Tree climbing 5.    Tree climbing 6.

I'm not sure what the birds think.....

24 December....

Gypsy's adult teeth are now coming through and she appeared to be in some discomfort (licking her lips every 5 minutes or so, "mewing" a lot and refusing food) so we took a trip to the vet for a check over. The vet informed us that some kittens take no notice as the adult teeth break through the gums; others react in various ways even to the extent of not being able to swallow.

Gypsy had 3 “jabs” to help her along, for pain relief, anti-inflammatory and a long lasting antibiotic./p>
